Here in Philly, the cheesesteak is a civic icon, tourist draw and cultural obsession, and now two short new videos created by VISIT PHILADELPHIA® show how to order this iconic sandwich and what makes it so great. The videos are on view at visitphilly.com/cheesesteaks, where visitors can read about the history of the often-imitated sandwich and find a list of the top 10 spots to get authentic Philly cheesesteaks.

Video #1: How To Order A Philly Cheesesteak:
This 90-second instructional video teaches people about the art of ordering the flavorful sandwich in four easy steps. The video encourages visitors to know what they want before placing their order. Those who want Cheez Whiz with fried onions should ask for a “Whiz With.” Those who want provolone without fried onions should ask for a “Provolone Without.” Then, the easy part: eat and enjoy.

Video #2: Philly Cheesesteak 101:
In this video, a diverse group of Philadelphia residents—all seemingly cheesesteak pros—give advice on how to order a cheesesteak. They encourage customers to know the lingo and to order quickly. Then, they go onto describe the types of cheeses available and explain how to score a steak sandwich with or without cheese and/or fried onions, depending on taste preference.
