Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation Releases Annual Report During National Tourism Week

Tourism 2007: Report to the Industry Looks Back at 2006 and Previews What’s Next

On May 15, the Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation (GPTMC) will release its annual report, entitled Tourism 2007: Report to the Industry, to members of the regional tourism and hospitality industry. Distribution of the 42-page report, themed “Marketing Gets Personal,” coincides with National Tourism Week (May 12-20) and GPTMC’s annual event, taking place at the Hyatt Regency Philadelphia at Penn’s Landing.

Tourism 2007: Report to the Industry focuses on the personalization of GPTMC’s marketing efforts and reveals the latest statistics on regional leisure tourism. The report includes information about the following:

  • Strategic Plan: GPTMC’s plan for marketing Philadelphia as a tourism destination over the next several years
  • Marketing Plan: A review of the 13 strategies GPTMC uses in all of its marketing campaigns
  • Marketing a More Fun Philadelphia: A look at more than 10 of GPTMC’s marketing campaigns over the last year
  • Advertising, Communications, Gophila.com and Hotel Efforts: Key accomplishments from each of GPTMC’s departments
  • Consumer Insight: Visitor volume, economic impact and other statistics from interviews, focus groups and surveys conducted throughout the year
