“Ralph Brooks Park Project,” Mural Arts Philadelphia

In an effort to revitalize Ralph Brooks Park at 20th and Tasker Streets, former Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Connor Barwin partnered with Mural Arts Philadelphia to paint the walls surrounding the park. The goal of the mural, painted by artist Steve Powers, was designed to uplift and motivate the local community through the phrase “Life tried to bury us but we are the root and the seed” and the word “practice.”
