Philly Holiday Tree

Philly Holiday Tree

The 38-foot Philly Holiday Tree at City Hall, set atop a multimedia base decorated with iconic symbols of Philadelphia—the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, Rocky and more—glows with thousands of lights at the edge of restored Dilworth Park. The tree's base was created by Broadway production designer David Korris Design. For the first time, the live tree is surrounded by activity: A few steps away are the alfresco Rothman Institute Ice Rink, the cozy Rothman Institute Cabin—and a new-this-year planted America’s Garden Capital Maze. On the north facade, City Hall's courtyards host the traditional, German-inspired Christmas Village and the Made in Philadelphia Holiday Market of local artists, crafters, designers and food vendors. All in all, the holiday attraction thrives from Thanksgiving through Christmas Eve.
