Shofuso Japanese House and Garden

Shofuso Japanese House and Garden

The continent’s first Japanese garden as created for the 1876 Centennial Exhibition, Shofuso includes a traditional 17th-century-style house and a 1.2-acre Japanese pond and garden by landscape designer Tansai Sano. From April through October, guests can explore pond side, feed koi, roam the house and tearoom and partake in a monthly tea ceremony.
