A massive renovation project has transformed Dilworth Park, one of William Penn’s original city squares, into one of Philadelphia’s hottest go-to public spaces. The four-acre site features an enormous Great Lawn for concerts, special events and outdoor movies; an open-air cafe operated by Jose Garces; shaded groves; and a computerized sprayground installation that will be transformed into an ice-skating rink in season. Located on the west side of City Hall, the park also boasts a light-filled, airy entryway to SEPTA public transportation.
