Fairmount Park’s Lemon Hill, which is an actual hill, features fantastic views of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Those in the know head here for lovely picnics overlooking the Schuylkill River and to watch the annual Fourth of July fireworks. The City of Philadelphia purchased Lemon Hill—both the mansion and the tract of land surrounding it—in 1855 to create Fairmount Park, now the largest municipal park in the country.
