Swann Memorial Fountain

Swann Memorial Fountain

One of the focal points of Benjamin Franklin Parkway is Logan Circle’s Swann Memorial Fountain, built in 1924. Large Native American figures symbolize major local waterways: the Delaware River (a man), the Schuylkill River (a woman) and Wissahickon Creek (a girl). Standing at the fountain, people can look one way to see the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the other way to see City Hall, pictured here.
