Dickinson Square Park

Dickinson Square Park

Developed during the Colonial period, the Pennsport neighborhood is considered one of the oldest sections of South Philadelphia—some homes even date back to 1815. In 1900, the 300-acre Dickinson Square Park opened with classic, turn-of-the-century design. Today, residents of the area enjoy the park’s open space, basketball courts, swing sets and jungle gym equipment, plus the seasonal farmers’ market.
