Philadelphia and the Countryside - Press Room

National Museum of American Jewish History

National Museum of American Jewish History

Inside the National Museum of American Jewish History, intriguing exhibitions, rare artifacts and interactive displays mark the trials and triumphs of American Jews through every phase of the country’s history. Foundations of Freedom, on the fourth floor of the museum, shows the process by which a tiny minority sought, defended and tested freedom—in political affairs, in relations with Christian neighbors and in their own understanding of what it meant to be Jewish.
