Philadelphia Science Festival

Philadelphia Science Festival

The Franklin Institute’s Chief Astronomer Derrick Pitts enjoys the nighttime view through a telescopeduring a stargazing event, one of the hundreds of (mostly free) activities during the Philadelphia ScienceFestival. With hands-on fun for kids, sophisticated events for adults and a carnival along the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, the two-week, citywide festival takes science out of the lab and demonstrates the role it plays in everyday life.
