About Visit Philadelphia™
The Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation (GPTMC), the region’s official destination marketing organization, announced in November 2013 its new name: Visit Philadelphia™. The change will be implemented in company communications over a period of several months, with a new logo to be unveiled and begin appearing in advertisements in January 2014.
Visit Philadelphia™ makes Philadelphia and The Countryside® a premier destination through marketing and image building that increases business and promotes the region’s vitality.
Visit Philadelphia™ is a private, non-profit organization founded and funded in 1996 as Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation (GPTMC) by the City of Philadelphia, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the Pew Charitable Trusts.
